Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 October 2026 · Türkçe
The short version. CarBump is a free beta. It builds a 3D record of your car and highlights areas that may have changed. A highlight is a hint for you to check, not a verdict on damage. Your recordings stay yours. Film only cars you have the right to film, and avoid filming people.
1. Who you are agreeing with
These terms are an agreement between you and [Owner full name], trading as CarBump (şahıs şirketi), [Registered business address], Türkiye (“CarBump”, “we”). Contact: [email protected]. By using the CarBump app you accept these terms. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use CarBump
You must be at least 18 years old. Use CarBump only for cars you own, rent, lease, sell, or otherwise have the right to film.
3. The beta
- The beta is free and runs on TestFlight (iPhone first).
- Features may change, break or be removed. We may pause the service for maintenance or end the beta.
- Beta data may be reset, and may not carry over to the App Store version of the app. Keep your own copies of anything important.
- Feedback you send us may be used to improve CarBump, without payment to you.
4. Your account
There is no sign-up. Your data is tied to an identifier the app creates on your phone. If you reset or lose the phone, you may lose access to your data. The support code shown in the app is a label for contacting us, not a password: changes to an account are made only from inside the app.
5. What CarBump does, and what it does not
- CarBump builds a 3D model of your car from a video, places later photos on that model, and highlights areas where a later photo differs from the earlier scan.
- A highlight is a possible change, not a finding of damage. Light, reflections, dirt and water can cause highlights, and real damage can be missed. CarBump does not decide what counts as damage, who caused it, or what it costs.
- CarBump is not an expert report or a professional inspection. Whether a record is accepted as evidence (by a rental company, insurer, buyer or court) is up to them.
- Coverage is limited to the panels between eye and waist height: doors, fenders, bumpers, hood and trunk. The roof and underbody are not covered. Parts filmed from too few angles are marked in blue on the model; we never fill a gap with invented detail.
- Results depend on lighting, paint and how the car was filmed. A scan can fail; the app tells you when it does.
6. Your content
The videos and photos you record, and the records built from them, remain yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process them only as needed to provide CarBump to you (for example, to build the 3D model and run comparisons). This permission ends when you delete the content, except for backup copies, which are overwritten within 30 days.
You are responsible for what you record. In particular:
- film only cars you have the right to film;
- avoid filming people; if other people, cars or number plates appear by chance, use the record only for your own car;
- do not upload anything illegal, or anything that is not a car you are scanning.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- interfere with or overload our servers, or try to access data that is not yours;
- reverse engineer the app or the service, except where the law allows it;
- use CarBump to build a false record, for example by presenting one car’s scan as another car’s;
- use automated tools to upload or download content in bulk.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the service or other users at risk.
8. Paid features
The beta is free. If we introduce paid scans, we will publish updated terms and show you the price, what you get, and how refunds and the right of withdrawal work before you pay. App Store purchases are charged by Apple, and refund requests go through Apple under Apple’s policies.
9. Ending
You can stop using CarBump at any time, and delete all of your data in the app’s settings. We may end the beta or the service; if we do, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to keep copies of your records, except where the law or a serious security issue prevents it.
10. Our responsibility
During the beta CarBump is provided as it is, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a highlight is correct. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you or others make based on CarBump’s results, or for losses caused by data loss during the beta. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or the rights you have as a consumer under Turkish law (Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection) or the law of your country.
11. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we change the date at the top. If a change matters, we ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue to use it.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers can apply to the consumer arbitration committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or consumer court with jurisdiction, within the limits set by law. If you live in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country still apply to you.
13. Apple
If you use the iOS app, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and CarBump, not Apple. CarBump, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- We give you a non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Contact us for support.
- If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- CarBump, not Apple, is responsible for handling claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, privacy or similar claims, and claims that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also comply with the terms of any third-party service you use together with the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
